Deployment Time

For a self-serve, Cloud deployment, it takes 10-30 minutes to get the Teramind server/dashboard set up. On-premise / Private Cloud deployments can be done in an hour or so. After that, the Endpoint Agent installation takes only a few minutes and can be done in a batch mode remotely. We will provide complete documentation, step-by-step instructions, how-to-guide, etc. Technical support is also available via the chat. This option is suitable for SMEs.

We also offer a personalized, white glove deployment service and onboarding assistance with a dedicated customer success team. This is suitable for medium to large enterprises. This usually takes 1-4 weeks and includes the following:

  1. Requirements gathering (1 week)

  2. Environment setup and deployment (2 sessions, 1 week)

  3. Endpoints setup and testing (2 sessions, 1 week)

  4. Training for admins and analysts (2-3 session, 3 days)

  5. Proof of value evaluation (1 week)

Teramind will assign 1 Solution Engineer and 1 Client Partner throughout the implementation process. We will require a technical and commercial counterpart at your end.

Step 1: Sign up for a Trial

We do not have a free version of Teramind. However, you can try it for free for 7 days (Cloud) or 14 days (On-Premise / Private Cloud).

To get started with the trial, visit https://www.teramind.co/product/price. Simply select the Teramind solution you are interested in, your preferred deployment model, and the expected number of users/endpoints/terminal servers etc. Then, click the free 14 day trial or the free 7 day trial button.

Step 2 [optional]: Deploy the Server (On-Premise / Private Cloud)

Skip this step if you are on Teramind Cloud. You don’t need to deploy any server with Teramind Cloud. It’s fully managed by Teramind.

Step 3: Install the Agent

Install the Teramind Agent on the target computers or invite the employees to install it themselves. This is really the only action the user needs to perform but the admin can also remotely install the agent for them without "requiring" the user to do anything. Step 4: Start Using Teramind!

As soon as the Agent is installed, you will see data showing up on the Dashboard. At this point, you are ready to use Teramind. Each customer has their own requirements and use cases, That's the reason, we don't usually provide a standard workflow. Here are some recommendations that might be helpful for you:

1. Add the employees and computers you would like to monitor (if they are using a Revealed Agent).

2. Set up any departments/groups if you need. This will make it easier for creating monitoring profiles or generating reports by department.

3. Adjust the monitoring settings according to your organization's requirements. For example, you can turn video capture on/off, exclude apps/websites you don't want to monitor etc.

4. Modify any sample policies and rules that came with the package according to your need. For example, you might see a sample rule named 'Outbound email w/attachment to a different domain'. You obviously would want to change the Mail To condition of the rule to correspond to your company's domain:

If you don't need a rule, just turn it off or delete it. You can learn more about policies and rules on our Rules Guide. We also have many sample rules included with the Rules Guide.

5. Create productivity profiles so that you get an accurate result on the productivity reports.

6. Change the account type or role for your users (optional).

7. Setup schedules if you have hourly employees/contractors etc.
