How to turn off or suspend the monitoring of applications

You can turn monitoring off completely for all applications, suspend monitoring of select applications, or suspend just the keystrokes logging in select applications while still being able to track other activities in the applications.

1. To turn off monitoring for all applications

1.1 Click the Gear icon near the top right corner of the dashboard and select Monitoring Settings from the pop-up menu:

1.2 Click a monitoring profile you want to change or click the Default settings profile to change the monitoring settings for all users:

1.3 Click the Yes/No button in front of the APPLICATIONS:

2. To suspend monitoring of specific applications*

2.1 Follow the instructions from 1.1-1.2 above (click Gear icon > select Monitoring settings > select a monitoring profile).

2.2 Click the small Gear icon at the right side of the APPLICATIONS.

2.3 This will pop-up the Applications: Edit settings window. Enter the application names in the SUSPEND MONITORING WHEN THESE APPLICATIONS ARE USED field. Teramind will disable all activity tracking and screen recording for these applications:

*Notes About SUSPEND MONITORING… Settings

If you use the SUSPEND MONITORING WHEN THESE APPLICATIONS ARE USED or SUSPEND MONITORING WHEN THESE APPLICATIONS ARE USED WITH CONDITION option, the following will happen:

  • User activities on the specified apps will not be captured

  • Keystrokes will not be captured

  • The app windows will be blacked out in the video recording or during the live view mode of the session player (see the Dynamic Blackout section below for more information)

3. To suspend keystroke logging of select applications

3.1 Follow the instructions from 1.1-1.2 above (click Gear icon > select Monitoring settings > select a monitoring profile).

3.2 Click the small Gear icon at the right side of the APPLICATIONS.

3.3 This will pop-up the Applications: Edit settings window. Enter the application names in the SUSPEND KEYSTROKE MONITORING WHEN THESE APPLICATIONS ARE USED field. Teramind will disable only keystroke logging for these applications (all other activity will still be tracked and screen recording will still take place):
