Improvements/Changes

Support for CSV Files in Files Content Sharing Rules

We are introducing support for CSV files in Files Content Sharing rules. This will allow you to scan for sensitive contents inside CSV files. You will be able to create rules like the following:

Changes to the Revealed Agent Reconnect Behavior

Previously, the Revealed Agent would capture the window focus and show the "Reconnecting" pop-up message on the foreground when it was trying to reconnect to the server.

From now on, it will do the following:

  • During the network reconnection, the Agent will not come to the foreground and display the "Reconnection" pop-up.

  • After the reconnection is completed, the Agent will not come to the foreground and display the "Connected" pop-up.

We hope, these changes will make the Agent more user-friendly and non-intrusive.

Bug Fixes

Blackout Box not Shown when Hovering Over App Icons on the Taskbar

Due to a bug, the dynamic blackout box on the Session Player wouldn't be displayed correctly when hovering over the app icons on the taskbar. As a result, sensitive content would be exposed.

This could happen in two cases:

1. The small window preview - when the user hovered the mouse pointer over the taskbar icon.

2. The window preview - when the user hovered the mouse pointer over the small window preview.

The bug is fixed now so that a orange "APP PRVIEW" or "TASK SWITCHING" window will be shown on the Session Player when the user hovers their mouse on the sensitive app icons on the taskbar:

Known Issues:

The APP PREVIEW window also appears when the user locks their screen (with the RECORD LOCKED SESSIONS option turned on) or when they clicks on the Start menu

Delayed Blackout Box when Switching Browser Tabs

Due to a bug, the dynamic blackout box on the Session Player would be slightly delayed when the user switched from one browser tab to another tab (tab containing the sensitive site that should be suspended from monitoring). As a result, sensitive content would be exposed for a brief period of time:

The bug is fixed now.

Webpages Rule would Cause the Browser Tab/Window to Close Unexpectedly

Due to a bug, if you used a Webpages-based rule like the one below, it would sometimes close the browser tabs with allowed sites unexpectedly. If there was only one tab open, it would close the browser completely:

The bug is fixed now.

Webpages Rule would Trigger Incorrectly (False Positives)

Due to a bug, if you had a Webpages-based rule like the one below, it would get triggered even when the user didn't actually visited the restricted site:

This could happen in the following scenario:

  1. The user entered a restricted URL in the address bar or pasted it from the clipboard. Or, the user typed something in the address bar and the browser auto-completed the URL.

  2. The user removed focus from the address bar.

  3. The user switched between tabs/minimized or expand the browser.

The bug if fixed now so that the rule will only trigger when the user actually visits the restricted sites.

The Revealed Agent would Require Several Attempts to Connect

The Revealed Agent wouldn't be able to connect to the server after an update. It would show a "Network error" message and the user would need to try several times to be able to connect:

This could happen because of the connection timeout. In most cases, the user wouldn't notice this bug. However, we have increased the timeout duration so the bug should be fixed now.

Wrong Number of Participants Shown in MS Teams Calls

Due to a bug, the Monitoring > Online Meetings report would show wrong number of participants for MS Teams 1-1 calls:

This could happen in the following scenario:

  1. The user initiated a group call

  2. The user the called another user who wasn't within the ongoing group call (current call’s state changed to “ON HOLD“).

  3. Due to the bug, instead of reporting a separate 1-to-1 meeting (in the above example, Tia Sanders), the number of participants of the ongoing “ON HOLD“ group meeting would be updated with a new participant (Tia Sanders).

The bug seems to affect Agent version 24.14.1528 but other versions might be affected too. The bug is fixed now.

Revealed Agent's Update Folder not Being Cleaned Up

In rare situations, the Revealed Agent's update folder (\ProgramData\{4CEC2908-5CE4-48F0-A717-8FC833D8017A}\updates) wouldn't get cleaned up after an update. Older update files would be remaining in the folder:

This could happen if the update failed for some reason.

The bug is fixed now.

Revealed Agent would Become Frozen

In rare situations, the Revealed Agent would become frozen and stop recording any activity. This could happen especially if there was a bad network connection. If you tried to close the Agent from the taskbar, it would hang up (as can be seen on the Windows Event Viewer):

The bug seems to affect Windows Agent 24.23.1630 but other versions might be affected too. The bug is fixed now.
