The video below will show you how to create a File-based rule to block the use of external drives:

You can create a File-based activity rule to block the use of external drives such as USB drives, CD/DVD, etc.:

1. Create an Activity rule.

2. Select Files under the types of activities.

3. Select the users the rule will apply to.

4. Specify the conditions for the File Operations and Drive options.

5. Select an action to take when the rule is violated. In the example above, we selected a Block action with the option for manager override.
