Improvements
Support for the New X API
Category: Monitoring
We’ve adapted our platform to align with the latest X (formerly Twitter) API updates, ensuring posts and comments are accurately captured and reported in Monitoring > Social Media and BI Reports > Social Media reports.
This will allow you to stay ahead with comprehensive communication tracking and prevent data leaks.
Support for Zoom on the BI Instant Messages Report
Category: Monitoring
We’ve added support for Zoom on BI Reports > Instant Messages report.
This will extend your ability to track user chats and attachments sharing on these apps and prevent insider threats and data leaks.
Improved Time-Based Detection in Applications and Webpages Rules
Category: Behavior Policies & Rules
We’ve improved how various time-based criteria (e.g., Time Active, Time Idle, Time Focused, etc.) are evaluated for Applications and Webpages rules taking into consideration background processes.
This will improve the accuracy of rule triggers and prevent false positives for time-based applications and web activities.
Improved Content Detection in PDF Files
Category: Behavior Policies & Rules
We’ve improved the Content Sharing rules to better parse content inside PDF files.
This will improve the accuracy of Content Sharing rules and help you prevent data loss using file transfers.
Improved Credit Card Number Detection in Content Sharing Rules
Category: Behavior Policies & Rules
We’ve improved the Content Sharing rules to better detect credit card numbers in Microsoft Outlook (and other email clients using similar protocol) when using the “Strict” mode.
This will enhance your data loss prevention capabilities by extending credit card detections inside emails and at the same time reduce false positives.
Improved Network Host Criterion for Files Rules
Category: Behavior Policies & Rules
You can now select the Network Host criterion when using the Access option of the File Operation criterion in Files rules.
This will allow you to create more powerful rules to detect network-based file incidents such as an unauthorized user trying to access a document in a restricted network drive.
Improved Download URL Criterion for Files Rules
Category: Behavior Policies & Rules
You can now select a Shared List when using the Download URL criterion in Files rules.
This will allow you to create rules to detect downloads from external sites with minimum effort.
Improved Monitoring Profile Assignment
Category: Monitoring, Departments
When creating a new employee, if you assign the employee a department, and the department has a monitoring profile, the employee will be automatically assigned to that profile by default.
This improvement will allow you to assign the right monitoring profile to an employee as soon as they are created, eliminating extra steps.
Enhanced Control Over Deleted/Archived Departments
Category: Departments
Gain greater flexibility in managing departments. Now, when deleting a department:
If the "Unassign all employees" option is enabled, the department is completely removed from view.
If the option is disabled, the department remains available in BI Reports and Dashboards, ensuring historical data is preserved for analysis.
This improvement lets you clean up outdated departments while maintaining visibility into past structures when needed.
Improved System Log Report
Category: Logging, Auditing
The System > System Log report is improved so that it now captures Edit actions properly for events like changing monitoring profiles.
This improvement will allow you to track admin activities in more detail for auditing and investigation purposes.
Real-Time System Health Updates (On-Premise)
Category: Settings
The Refresh button on the Settings > System Health screen now updates instantly, eliminating the need to reload the page.
This ensures you get real-time system insights faster, helping you diagnose issues and optimize performance with minimal disruption.
Latest TeraWeb Container
Category: Backend
We have updated various system components of the TeraWeb* container. This update improves the security and stability of the container including protection from potential vulnerabilities identified in the latest CVE and GSHE bulletin.
*TeraWeb contains the primary web server, video export worker, and many supporting scripts such as offline alert processor, batch emailer, etc.
Improved Auto-Update Channel (Cloud)
Category: Settings
We’ve made some changes to the Settings > Autoupdate screen. Especially when disabling an auto-update channel. Previously, you had to uncheck all the days under the PERIODS section to disable the update for both Windows and macOS.
Now, you can disable auto-update for Windows and macOS individually by selecting the new “Disable” option from the VERSION field:
Other Updates
Improved Support for LinkedIn: We’ve improved how LinkedIn posts are handled to prevent unusual Agent behaviors such as crashes or halting when posts are being deleted.
Support for the New MS Outlook: The Agent is updated to address changes made by Microsoft to the new Outlook (
olk.exe
) resulting in missing records in reports like BI Reports > Emails.Improved Processing of Teams IMs: We have improved how instant messages on the Teams desktop client are captured eliminating the chance of missing conversations.
Improved Processing of Keystroke Events: We have improved how keystrokes are captured, eliminating the chance of missing or duplicate symbols when the user types fast.
Accurate Activity Reporting: We have improved how the mouse movement is detected so that the user activity level is calculated and reported accurately. This will further ensure that a local and remote user’s activities will remain at parity.
Accurate Offline Sessions Tracking: The Agent now tracks offline sessions in a way to avoid overlapping between online and offline times ensuring accurate Session Time and Work Time calculation on productivity reports.
Better Support for WhatsApp Web: Upload requests via the WhatsApp web version will be better processed by the Teramind proxy server to avoid any incorrect interceptions and undue blockings. This will ensure the app behaves as expected without disrupting the user’s workflow.
Improved Scheduled Report Export: We’ve resolved how the Scheduled Export on BI Reports renders certain charts in the exported PDF files. The charts will now maintain the ‘Stack’ option making both the Dashboard version and the exported version of the chart look visually similar.
Improved BI Data Sync: The BI data sync is improved to eliminate halting and missing data on reports.
Improved IM Report: The BI Reports > Instant Messages report is improved to prevent missing data in the ‘Destination’ column for some IM apps.
Improved Geolocation Report: the Map tab on the BI Reports > Geolocation report will now handle properly to avoid occasional loading issues such as ‘400 Bad Request’ errors.
Updated IM Conversion View: We’ve updated how the Conversion window is opened so that it will no longer cause any “Unknown error” issue on some IM clients such as Zoom.
Improved Advanced Monitoring Settings: The Monitoring Options > Advanced tab on an employee’s profile is improved to eliminate unexpected behavior when changing options.
Improved Support for Gmail in Emails Rule: We have improved how the inclusion (the CONDITION field) and exclusion (the EXCEPT field) logic for the Mail To and Mail CC criteria are evaluated in Emails rules for Gmail. Especially when using multiple email recipients or regular expressions avoiding missed triggers and false positives.
Enhanced Upload File Size Detection in Behavior Rules: The Upload File Size criterion in behavior rules is now more accurate, ensuring precise enforcement of file-sharing policies, especially on drive.google.com and file.io sites.
Improved Session Recording: We have improved the session recordings so that if the RECORD LOCKED SESSIONS (under the Screen monitoring settings) is disabled, it will not record the screen if a screen saver is running.
