New Features

End of Support for Legacy Systems

Category: Support & Maintenance

We have deprecated the x86/32-bit platform and discontinued support for Windows 7 to comply with the industry’s best practices for software EOS and avoid potential operational and security risks.

Support for Island Browser

Category: Monitoring

Webpages, Instant Messages (chats) and Online Meetings on the Island browser will now be tracked. Customers using the Island browser can also benefit from Webpage rules and the SUSPEND MONITORING WHEN THESE WEBSITES ARE VISITED option, offering greater flexibility and privacy customization.

Support for Zoom Workspace

Category: Monitoring

Online Meetings on the Zoom Workspace app will now be tracked, extending your monitoring capabilities for even more enterprise communications apps.

Support for uniFLOW Printers

Category: Monitoring

Printed documents can now be tracked over the uniFLOW printer driver, extending your monitoring capabilities to the cloud.

New OS Version Criterion in Applications Rules

Category: Behavior Rules

The new OS Version criterion of the Applications rule can be used to detect the OS version installed on the user’s computer. The OS version matching the trigger will be shown in the alert’s description. Among other potential uses, this feature can be used to ensure app compatibility.

Ability to Change the OCR Rule Notification Frequency

Category: Behavior Rules

By default, the OCR Notification Alerts are limited to 1 per rule/application/agent/computer in a 4-minute window.

If you are an On-Premise customer, you can now receive all the alerts by adding a parameter to your teramind.config file giving you more control over alert throttling.

More information can be found here.

New Agent Download Screen

Category: UI/Deployment

The Download Agent screen is now updated with a new interface and resources, making it more streamlined and easier to use.

Support for New Authentication Method for Azure Storage Account

Category: Security/Deployment

Previously, only the Primary Access Token was supported when accessing an Azure storage bucket. Now, you'll be able to use the Shared Access Signature (SAS) Token too. This will make it easier for you to securely delegate access to resources within your Azure storage accounts.

[Mac] Ability to Use a Custom Proxy Certificate

Category: Security

Previously, the Mac Agent came with its own proxy certificate named “Internet Widgits”.

Now, you will be able to use your own custom certificate and assign it whatever Common Name (CN) you want. This will help you hide the SSL injection and the Agent interception from casual observers.

Instructions to configure the certificate can be found here.

Improvements

  • Improved Email Monitoring: The background thread pool is optimized so that the server will use less RAM when processing a large volume of email communications from the monitored users.

  • Better Printer Support: Improved printer integration will prevent printing issues such as the automatic deletion of print jobs when an offline printer comes back online.

  • Improved Geolocation Tracking: Geolocation reporting is now more accurate when the computer is first unlocked and when the computer is not reporting activity.

  • Support for the New Teams API: The Agent will now support the new Teams API including the government version.

  • Certificate Caching: Certificate caching is implemented to reduce CPU load when accessing the web.

  • Improved HTTP Filtering: Improved filtering will reduce false positives in Webpages rules due to the Webpages Visited criterion detecting non-user requests (HTTP requests generated by the API).

  • Improved Responsiveness: Some internal changes were made to the dwm.exe resulting in smoother experience, especially for MS Teams and Outlook.

  • Improved Threading: Some internal changes were made to the dwm.exe resulting in improved threading performance, reducing the load on the CPU.

  • Expanded Automated Login Support: The Automated Login feature, previously available only for MSI-based Revealed Agents, is now supported by the EXE version, providing greater flexibility and convenience for deployment.

  • Better Regex Support: Added support for white spaces in regular expressions so that Behavior Rules would trigger properly.

  • Improved Monitoring Profiles: Persistence transactions will ensure Monitoring Profiles are updated reliably.

  • Optimized Agent Performance: When no Registry rules or RDP monitoring options are enabled, the Agent will skip processing the registry, resulting in enhanced performance and reduced system impact.

  • Debian and Dockerfile Upgrade: The Teramind server image (TMU) has been updated with the latest Debian 12 image and Dockerfile to improve the security and stability of the platform.

  • Improved Remote Troubleshooting: Added support for usernames that include spaces when uploading service logs from the Remote Troubleshooting preventing missing/corrupted logs.

  • Improved UI: Updated some UI text and pop-up elements for better readability.

  • [Mac] Improved Pop-Ups in the Revealed Agent: Pop-up messages now will be displayed inside the Agent window allowing for a better UI experience when using high-resolution displays and multi-screen setups.

  • [Mac] Better Support for macOS Sequoia: Previously, the cursor would blink when screen recording was enabled, disrupting the user, and potentially exposing the Stealth Agent. A better screen-capturing technique will prevent this from happening.
